Football coach Andy Reid’s wife, Tammy Reid, compared her husband to Taylor Swift. On December 25, TMZ published a story in which they spoke to Tammy about whether she had saved the date for Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding. She said:
“I do not have the save the date.”
The interviewer asked how excited she was, mentioning that Andy had previous ties with Taylor Swift. Tammy replied:
“We do. We met Taylor back in Philly, probably 20 years ago. I mean she was just a little nipper and has kept in touch ever since. So yeah, she’s a good person.”
When asked what she thought of Taylor Swift as a person, Tammy said:
“Taylor’s just the girl next door. We have a lot in common. She needlepoints, she bakes, she cooks, she’s made pop tarts for coach and some of the players. I mean she’s just a regular person that is super famous, kind of like my husband.”
During an episode on the New Heights podcast in August 2025, Jason Kelce pointed out Andy Reid’s claim that he was the one to set up Travis Kelce and Swift. Reacting to it, the 36-year-old singer said:
“Whatever Andy Reid says, we're going to stand by.”
Taylor Swift went on to say:
“He's been friends with my dad. My dad is the most social man who's ever been born. He's just a maniac. He will make a friend in an airport in 1971, have a five-minute conversation, and still be talking to that dude twice a week now. And but he's like that with everyone he meets. Like he's able to have very many very meaningful relationships. And it's a skill.”
Taylor Swift called Andy Reid a "legendary coach."
Taylor Swift mentioned that Andy Reid had been coming to her shows for many years. She said she always had a positive vibe about him. Speaking about him, she said:
“I didn't really know what the sports were that he was doing, but I knew that was my dad's friend Andy Reid. I now know he is literally the most iconic legendary coach of all time. And like from the way that you talk about him, his leadership style is so… I respect it so much because I feel like it's done without like aggression or raising your voice or losing your composure. It's all very composed and focused.”
Travis Kelce also spoke about Andy Reid, saying:
“There's such a genuine like want to get better that him getting you to like do it the right way it's like a disciplinary thing. It's just like he won't he wouldn't be doing it unless he saw the greatness in you or he saw your ability to get it right and he wouldn't be doing it this way if it was any other way if that makes sense.”
Taylor Swift described Andy Reid as funny and cheeky, noting that his coaching style is highly intentional and a strong example of effective leadership. Travis Kelce echoed this sentiment, adding that Reid fosters an environment built on both trust and discipline, key elements that define his success as a leader.
