Comedian and actress Nikki Glaser shared her thoughts about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s engagement in an exclusive interview with E! News, published on September 8. Speaking at the MTV Video Music Awards 2025, reporter Emily Curl asked what she was doing when she heard the news of Taylor Swift's engagement. Glaser said:

“I was taking a nap but then I woke up and my friend who always gives me Swiftie news or we're always the ones texting each other. She just said check her feed. And I was like, ‘Oh my god, I know what this means.’ And I was so glad she didn't spoil it for me. So, I got to see it myself and just like process it.”

Nikki Glaser went on:

“And I loved the caption. I loved just how natural and at home they looked. And it wasn't too staged. It was just like we were just seeing she's just peeling back the curtain a little bit more with Travis because she feels safe and comfortable.”

Sharing her excitement about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s engagement, Glaser said that not everyone was on board with the news. She said just like every other Swiftie, it felt like one of their friends got engaged. However, she jokingly said that even when someone close gets engaged, one gets a bit envious, but in Taylor Swift’s case, there was no such feeling.

Overall, Nikki Glaser felt it was an adorable moment that made everyone feel like love is real.

Nikki Glaser on what Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding could look like

When Emily Curl asked what she thought the wedding would look like, Glaser said it was bound to be a grand one, as everything that has happened so far is leading to that. However, Nikki Glaser believed that Taylor Swift deserves to feel like a bride every day and that every day is like a celebration of her presence in the world. She said:

“I always think I don't want a wedding cause I'm always like getting attention and I don't need that. But I don't even think it's about that for her. I just think she wants to celebrate with all her family and friends and she's got a lot of them.”

Nikki Glaser wants Taylor Swift’s wedding to be a private affair, saying:

“So, I look forward to the helicopter photos that will ruin her day somehow by hovering above. I hope she gets married in some kind of like protected dome. I don't know. Like I hope it's just a private lovely day for her. She deserves it.”

Nikki Glaser said this time it would be better, as the first time she hosted the award show, it was more like introducing herself to the crowd. However, this time, she felt the audience was already accustomed to her tone and way of hosting.

Since she’s already familiar with the role, she said it won’t be a struggle to do it again. Despite everything, she felt a pressure to do better than the last time.
