Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson first met in the late 1990s while working on the teen drama Dawson’s Creek. Their roles as Joey Potter and Pacey Witter turned them into a well-known on-screen couple. Off-screen, the two also shared a brief romance that gained much attention at the time.
Even after their relationship ended, Holmes and Jackson stayed connected as friends. They worked together for several more seasons of Dawson’s Creek and often spoke with respect about each other in interviews. Their bond has lasted through different stages of life and career.
In 2025, the two reunited again, both for a new movie project and for a special Dawson’s Creek cast event.

Earlier in August of this year, it was announced that the Dawson's Creek cast members were set to reunite after 22 years for a special cause on 22nd September. According to a report by NBC, the one-night-only event, which took place at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York City, was titled "Dawson’s Creek Class Reunion."
The cast members, including Joshua Jackson, Katie Holmes, Michelle Williams, John Wesley Shipp, Nina Repeta, Kerr Smith, Mary Beth Peil, Busy Phillips, Mary-Margaret Humes, and Meredith Monroe, reunited on stage to read aloud the 1998 pilot of the hit series. Unfortunately, Van Der Beek had to drop out of the reunion charity event due to stomach illness. Lin-Manuel Miranda replaced him.
