Bobby Brown, 56, met with an insufferable loss in his personal life, following the tragic deaths of his two children, daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown and son Bobby Brown Jr., and former wife, Whitney Houston.

In a heartfelt appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show on May 19, 2025, the renowned singer reflected on experiencing grief he endured due to losing his loved ones. He admitted to seeking therapy and opened up about his continuous healing journey.

On July 26, 2015, Bobbi Kristina Brown died at the age of 22. Like her mother, she was found unresponsive in a bathtub in her home, People Magazine reported. She was in a medically induced coma, followed by her death after six months. According to the outlet's report, her death was caused by drug intoxication.

At 28, Bobby Brown Jr. died on November 18, 2020. He was discovered dead at his Los Angeles home. Per autopsy reports, he died due to the effects of a drug overdose.

Bobby Brown got emotional, discussing the tragic deaths of Bobbi Kristina Brown, Bobby Brown Jr., and Whitney Houston.

Sharing how he is working through his grief, the New Edition alum said:

"Lots of prayer, first and foremost, that absolutely took me to the point where I accepted therapy in my life. I accepted going to a therapist and really working out all of the issues that I had within me."

He also acknowledged his wife, Alicia Etheredge-Brown, and his five kids' support in helping him overcome sadness and move forward.

The "Can You Stand the Rain" singer added,

"Also, just family… being there for me when I was down and when I wasn’t feeling right and when times get hard."

Bobby Brown further continued:

"They're still there because it doesn't stop. It's not like it just goes away. It's gonna be with you forever, but it's about dealing with it and really paying attention to yourself. Paying attention to how you're feeling that day and letting somebody know how you're feeling that day. You know, not keeping it inside."

On April 14, 2018, the singer appeared on the Red Table Talk, where he expressed his sorrow over Bobbi Kristina Brown and Bobbi Kristina Brown's unfortunate death.

Bobby Brown told the co-hosts, Adrienne Banfield-Norris, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Willow Smith,

"Losing him was very, very unexpected. Just like losing my daughter. We were just in the studio two nights before. It was something that hit me really, really hard."

He remembered his ex-wife while conversing on the chat show. He confessed to missing her and appreciated her for teaching him about life.

Looking back at the time spent with Whitney, he chimed in,

"She taught me a lot, about life and love and about living right. She is definitely loved and missed in my heart."

On February 11, 2012, Houston passed away due to an accidental drowning in a bathtub. At the age of 48, she passed away in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Reportedly, she suffered from heart disease, and cocaine use was a contributing factor to her drowning accident.
