CNN anchor Alisyn Camerota has revealed that her husband, Tim Lewis, passed away at the age of 58 after battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer for two years. Camerota, 58, took to Instagram to announce that her husband died on July 27, just months before they could celebrate their 23rd wedding anniversary.
The political commentator shared three children with her husband, twin daughters Alessandra and Francesca, 19, and a son, Nathaniel, 17. She captioned her post on Instagram:
"Some very sad personal news to share: my beloved and extraordinary husband Tim passed away on July 27th, two years after being diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer."

Alisyn Camerota took to Instagram on September 20 to disclose the news of her husband's passing, and to express her grievances.
"I cannot imagine any human being soldiering through a devastating diagnosis with more humor, humility and bravery than Tim. He was a phenomenal father, husband, friend and role model and the rest of us are left trying to follow in his footsteps. The kids and I are still getting our bearings. Tim imbued us with a lot of strength and stability and we’re determined to try to emulate those qualities."
Per The Connecticut Post, Lewis was born in Kansas City, Missouri. He earned a degree from Yale University and Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. In her post, Alisyn Camerota reflected on his life, and attached a link to The Tim Lewis Foundation; a fund she established to help others battling the illness. She penned:
"Tim devoted much of his life to giving back to his community and trying to make life easier for the people around him. to that end, we’ve set up a fund in his memory to help other families enduring a similar struggle. I would be honored if you would consider a contribution."
Alisyn Camerota also reflected on how this month was supposed to be a celebration of their 23rd wedding anniversary.
"I feel incredibly lucky to have had such a deep, committed, loving partnership for the time we had. i plan to write more in the coming days and to be back at work in the next few weeks. Thank you all for your love and letters, trays of lasagna, and the many, many gestures of kindness. I am grateful."
Online obituary reveals Alisyn Camerota's husband Tim Lewis was "a true gentleman and scholar"
According to his online obituary, Lewis "passed away peacefully." He was surrounded by his "adoring family" at the time. The obituary further reads:
"Tim was a true gentleman and scholar, virtues that were apparent anytime anyone discussed politics or world issues with him. Tim loved his Kansas City roots, returning often to watch his beloved Chiefs with his high school friends, reveling in childhood stories of playing D&D, Risk, and all you can eat taco nights."

"Tim gave generously to many educational and scholarship funds, so other kids could have the advantages he and his children did.
