On Saturday, Drake ruffled feathers with his former friend, DeMar DeRozan. The basketball player was playing for the Sacramento Kings against the Toronto Rappers, his former team, that night when the multi-platinum rapper called him a "goof." DeRozan, whose team lost that night, later shot back as he jokingly brushed off his comments.

As seen in a video circulating online, Drake said in no unclear terms:

"If you ever put a DeRozan banner up, I’ll go up there and pull it down myself."

In another clip, the Toosie Slide rapper can be heard telling him to

“F–k outta here, p–y."

Here's why Drake dissed DeMar DeRozan and how he shot back

DeMar DeRozan, the Raptor's leading scorer to date, was probed about his former friend's comment, to which he replied:

"He gonna have a long way to climb to take it down. Tell him good luck.”

Drake once name-dropped his now-adversary in his track Lemon Pepper Freestyle when he lauded the b-ball player and acknowledged how much the city loved him.

However, while DeRozan and Drake may have once been close, all that came crashing down when the former appeared on the video of Kendrick Lamar's Drake diss track: Not Like Us.

Arguably one of the most infamous diss tracks in the annals of rap music, Not Like Us, accuses Drake of being a ped*phile and more. He can be seen hunched over in the video, peering into the camera.

DeRozan, who once claimed that Drake would forever have a friend in [him], was first mentioned in the following bar:

"I'm glad DeRoz' came home, y'all didn't deserve him neither."

Apart from the music video, he also showed up at Lamar's Pop Out concert this June alongside Russell Westbrook, LeBron James, and James Harden. Notably, the following month, DeMar DeRozan told the world that he would always have love for Drake. In speaking with the Sacramento Bee, he said,

"Drake’s still my man, still my man, none of it changed. It’s so easy to get overlooked and look at it for what it looks like, but at the end of the day, it’s music, entertainment.”

DeMar DeRozan was not the only rapper to get on Drake's wrong side, as the rapper unfollowed LeBron James when he caught wind of his appearance at the concert. As for DeRozan and Drake, only time will tell if the two manage to make up.
