Cardi B took to IG earlier this week to fire back at what she thought was a dig at her from ATL Jacob. She accused him of saying some "slick sh*t about" her. Her response follows the rapper's tweet from last month, wherein he posted a screenshot of lyrics from Cardi's baby daddy Future's single Perkys Calling:
"These H*es always gettin' exposed, ain't got home trainin.'"
However, Jacob soon clarified that he never meant to disrespect the I Like It Like That rapper. In a clip of an interview with The Baller Alert Show from October 5, Jacob asserted that he respects the singer too much to interfere. He said the whole thing was a misunderstanding, and he wasn't even aware of the drama between Cardi and her baby daddy.
Cardi B threatens ATL Jacob, says she'll "violate" him for firing shots at her
In the interview with The Baller Alert Show, ATL Jacob said,
"I never shaded her. I didn’t even know there was drama going on when I tweeted. It was just a misunderstanding, and I respect Cardi and Offset too much to go back and forth. As a man, I don’t go back and forth with women. It was all just confusion."
He continued, noting he never shaded anyone before.
"That thing was…I was confused, cus’ I never shaded her once. I don’t even really throw shade. I think the only time I ever really threw shade was like, to one of my exes or someone when I was heartbroken. I don’t shade, I never shaded her.”
The spat can be traced back to an Instagram Live in September, when Cardi was ranting about her rocky relationship with Offset. However, the latter decided to shoot back in the comments section, claiming she had cheated while pregnant.
ATL Jacob took to X not long after to share the screenshot of Offset's lyrics, seemingly siding with him and prompting the mom-of-three to assume he was taking a dig at her.
In true Cardi fashion, the singer threatened him:
"P*ssy a*s b*tch stop playing wit me or ima violate you!!! You a whole man and stay shading me when I don't even know you.. I got a Nikka for you to square up with tho if you really got an issue!! Send your best b*tch."
However, when ATL Jacob caught wind of the inadvertent spat on September 27, he decided to clear the air:
“Look shawty I ain’t shade u ever in life.. I quoted a random tweet I seen on my timeline ion kno nun bout yo business.. facts.” [sic]
Regardless, Cardi was not happy. She retweeted her initial post with the following:
"I was faithful to this man for 7 years! You never seen my name attached to no other man and before that relationship I was engaged. Always been a clean slate b*tch so don't even try to throw HO on BELCALIS… Y'all wish."
