“We've been together every weekend” — Gerry Turner opens us about finding love again

Golden Bachelor star Gerry Turner, while speaking to People Magazine in an interview published on April 30, spilled the beans about his new relationship with Lana Sutton.

The two began dating in March, after Lana slid into his DMs on Facebook, and noted that the two have "been together every weekend." Turner, while talking to People Magazine, revealed that marriage was not on the cards for either of them after he had filed for divorce from ex-Theresa Nist, three months into their marriage. The two had met on The Golden Bachelor and had gotten engaged in the show's finale. Lana had also been married previously.

Turner mentioned that the two have entered a "comfortable agreement",

"But I do think we've both come to the comfortable agreement that we both want a long-term committed permanent relationship, and I think we're both feeling like we're there that we're in that now. It's kind of two different things, but they are closely related."

Gerry mentioned that Lana has also found it easy to connect with his family. The two have gone "fantasy house shopping" and have also been traveling nearly every weekend.

"We've been together every weekend. She's retired, so she's not tied down. On a moment's notice, she could come here or if I go there. There's no encumbrances with work, so there's just an awful lot of pluses that are helping us along."

Gerry Turner officially confirmed his new relationship with retired school teacher, Lana in April, after hard launching her on social media.

Earlier this month, during an appearance on The Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, Gerry, while speaking to co-hosts Joe Amabile and Serena Pitt, revealed that he's "dating someone" but didn't want to say much and "jinx it."

Gerry Turner also revealed that he had informed his ex-wife, Theresa, about his new relationship "to be respectful," and the two had a really nice conversation about it.

In an interview with Us Weekly published on April 29, 2025, Theresa Nist reflected on her divorce from Turner and his new relationship. Theresa opened up about Gerry's phone call, and said that she only wants him to be happy, despite him being afraid of sharing the news.

"Like, if this was the way it happened for him to find his person to go on the show, get married, and then find his person this way, then it was meant to be."

Elsewhere in his recent interview with the outlet, Gerry Turner gushed about the sweet gestures Lana does for him, including a condolence card she brought for him after his dad passed away in February 2025.
