Actor Andrew Garfield revealed that the intimate moment he shared onscreen with co-actress Florence Pugh was so passionate, the two didn't notice their cue to cut. During a promotional appearance for his movie, We Live In Time at the 92nd Street Y on Friday, Garfield said:

"The scene becomes passionate, as we choreographed it, and we get into it, as it were, and we go a little further than we were meant to just because we never heard ‘cut.’”

However, he noted that the two eventually felt like it was a "longer take," and realized it was time to stop. He noted that it was a “closed set” with just him, Pugh, the camera operator, and the boom operator, while the director, John Crowley, stood back in a different room with everyone else involved.

Regardless, the internet was appalled, albeit jokingly. Many began chiming in with jokes, memes, and the usual flurry of witty comments. As one user put it,

"we should all know less about each other."

The rest of the internet had a lot to say as well.

"i’d do the same if it was andrew garfield," one user shared.
"how in character does one have to be for this to happen?" one questioned.
"imagine being married to an actress and reading something like this," one user stated.
"That's so awkward, but kudos to the cameraman for being considerate!" another user tweeted.

However, several began speculating this may have been a marketing ploy, given that actress Nicola Coughlan also revealed something similar happened while filming the last season of Neflix's Bridgerton.

"so this is the kind of promo hollywood is doing now?" one user inquired.
"Imagine being the cameraman, just staring at the wall like you're in timeout, waiting for the 'passion' to end. Talk about a day at work you'll never forget. #AwkwardMoments," one user tweeted.
"Marketing strategy. it's to grow some hype and publicity. We all know our society revolves around romance," another reckoned.

Regardless, the internet was abuzz with speculations and fan theories, and many were simply chiming in with their love for the Spiderman actor Andrew Garfield.
