On April 6, 2025, a viral social media post alleged Full House star John Stamos was spotted speaking at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home. The image posted by X user, Patriot Takes, amassed over 2 million views and triggered a volley of comments from social media users who accused the actor of supporting the President, after seemingly extending support for Kamala Harris.
In a post on Sunday, X social media user Patriot Takes said John Stamos was spotted speaking at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home “this weekend.”
The post was accompanied by a picture of Stamos dressed in a tux and holding a microphone on stage.
John Stamos was at Mar-a-Lago on April 5, 2025. However, the actor was not at the location for a political event.
John Stamos was at Mar-a-Lago for a charity event
On April 5, 2025, John Stamos was at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago for a charity event that was not linked to the president. According to a woman named Sherry Sammons, who attended the event, John Stamos was emceeing the Palm Beach Ray of Hope gala, which was raising money for Nursing and Health Occupations.
The Dancing with the Palm Beach gala took place in Mar-a-Lago and was also attended by Karina Smirnoff. In an Instagram post, she wrote:
“It was a fabulous night at the Palm Beach Ray of Hope gala, watching 11 dancers compete for the People’s Choice award. John Stamos was a great choice as emcee. Such a fun night.”
Sammons also stated:
“Several of the pros from Dancing With The Stars were there Melissa Butterworth you were a great judge along with Artem and Karina A night to raise money for The Academy For Nursing and Health Occupations.”
Stamos also posted about the gala a week ago, urging people to donate to the charity that he would be hosting on April 5. Stamos said the Ray of Hope charity would:
“Support nurses in training and address the critical shortage of healthcare professionals in the Palm Beach community.”
Stamos has historically steered clear of making political statements. Last year, Stamos shared a rare political message by urging people to vote. At the time, Stamos emphasized the importance of voting for a leader who would unite the country.
In 2020, Stamos was called out for seemingly throwing his support behind the Harris and Biden campaigns. At the time, Scott Baio, a Trump supporter, called out his former “Happy Days” co-stars to raise money for the Wisconsin Democratic Party. Baio played Chachi on the show alongside co-star Ron Howard, who in a post on X, wrote:
"The most important election of our lifetimes is right around the corner and Wisconsin is a must-win state. So I’m thrilled to announce a #HappyDaysReunion to support @WisDems on Oct 25.”
When Stamos offered to fill in for Chachi, Baio fired back, saying:
“This is what Hollywood has come to. #shameful #LiberalsAreDesperate.”
Stamos did not respond to the tweet.
