American actress, singer, and songwriter Alix Lapri was reportedly arrested and booked into the DeKalb County Jail in Georgia on August 18, 2025. According to The Georgia Gazette, Lapri, whose real name is Alexus Geier, was taken into custody and allegedly charged with third-degree cruelty to children and disorderly conduct.

In the wake of Lapri’s arrest reports, an image of her alleged mugshot has now circulated across social media platforms, including X. It was first shared by The Georgia Gazette and shows the Power actress wearing a purple-colored hoodie, with her hair tied back in a ponytail.

No further details about Lapri’s alleged legal troubles are available. It also remains unclear whether Alix Lapri, 28, seemingly made bail. However, on August 21, 2025, she posted a video of herself partying at a bar on TikTok and Instagram. It was captioned, “drop that sh*t, DJ.”

A follow-up post showed her in a shooting location of her ongoing acting venture with a series of behind-the-scenes images and clips. “gotta keep at it, buddy. Chase the dream and know no fear,” the caption read.

Notably, her current Instagram Story, posted 13 hours ago, also shows her sporting a party look and pouting at her selfie camera. Two laughing emojis and one kiss emoji accompanied the Story.

According to IMDb, Alix Lapri was born Alexus Lapri Geier on November 6, 1996, in Topeka, Kansas. Her mother’s name is Lynn Geier. She grew up alongside two younger siblings and took part in many talent shows as a teenager.

When she was 13, she relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, to pursue her acting career at Nick Conti’s Professional School of Acting. Lapri is best known for her role as Effie Morales on the Starz network crime-drama-thriller TV series, Power, and its spinoff, Power Book II: Ghost.

Other projects in which Alix appeared include the BET sitcom Reed Between the Lines (2012), the Fox teen medical dramedy series Red Band Society (2014), and the action-crime film Den of Thieves (2018), among others. In Den of Thieves, Alix played Maloa and shared the screen with Gerard Butler and 50 Cent.

As a pop/ R&B singer-songwriter, Alix Lapri made a stir in mid-2011 after dropping a remix cover of Jawan Harris’ Keisha. It was titled Forget Keisha and featured Tyga. That same year, she signed with the Crown World Entertainment, and together with her labelmate Jacob Latimore released several song covers, such as Usher and Alicia Keys’ My Boo.

In July 2012, Alix dropped her debut EP titled I Am Alix Lapri. Over the years, she collaborated with several artists, including Jawan Harris on his It’s On mixtape, Issa on his mixtape King Issa, and Jacob Latimore on his This Is Me mixtape.

Alix Lapri also appeared on magazine covers and shared her covers of songs by Drake, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Cher Lloyd, and Rae Sremmurd. She now has over 1.3 million followers on Instagram.
