More about Haley Joel Osment's arrest as new details emerge

On 8 April, Haley Joel Osment visited the scenic town of Mammoth Lakes and stayed at the Mammoth Mountain Area Resort. According to People Magazine, the incident took place around 2 PM in the Mill Base Lodge Parking Lot when he began displaying signs of intoxication, marked by "unruly behavior". He was stopped by the staff from leaving the hotel premises before police were called.

According to TMZ, the actor, who has been in trouble with the law before this incident, had lost his house back in January during the Los Angeles firestorm. The publication alleged that the Tusk actor was struggling to get his insurance company to approve the coverage for the new house he had recently found.

In the latest reports, according to People Magazine, an exclusive police source divulged what the controlled substance allegedly was. They said:

"The controlled substance right now is presumed to be cocaine. We sent it for testing. We will have the results soon."

Back in 2008, Haley Joel Osment was first arrested for drunk driving and slamming his car into a pillar. The then eighteen-year-old actor, who had injured himself in the accident, pleaded no contest to the charges. Haley Joel Osment was later sentenced to "three years of probation, sixty hours of alcohol attending mandatory alcohol rehabilitation, and was fined $1500," according to TMZ.

In 2018, the Almost Friends actor was involved in a "public verbal scuffle" at McCarran International Airport with the airport authorities. The police were called, but Osmet was not arrested as he had already left the scene.

Regarding the case on Tuesday at the Mammoth Mountain Area Resort, Haley Joel Osment was reported to have been released after his mugshot was taken. At this moment, no charges have been filed, and the case is still under investigation by local authorities.
