Will Smith is currently on the road to promote his first studio album in 20 years, titled, Based on A Story. Ahead of this UK leg, the artist took to Instagram to share video highlights of the tour so far. The video features packed crowds at concerns, fans holding signs saying "We <3 You Willy" and cheering for the rapper.
In the caption, Smith mentioned,
"My favorite part of your is seeing you all up close. Thank you for seeing me too."
The video soon went viral after social media users criticized the artist for allegedly using AI to bump up the crowd scene.
Upon a closer look, some shots from the video show audience members with faces appearing blurred or distorted, while some allegedly have oddly shaped hands with six fingers.
According to The Independent, another shot shows a man's blurred knuckle as he holds up a sign, "You Can Make It’ helped me survive cancer. THX Will". Netizens took to Smith's Instagram post and to social media platforms such as Instagram, Reddit, and X to express their disappointment.
A few users pointed out the inconsistencies in the posted video and stated,
"This AI slop is so embarrassing LMAO pause the video and you can see the inconsistent finger lengths and that the cell phones warp in the palm of the hands."
That "From West Philly" part is clearly AI generated....pause and look at the crowd."
"Everybody has 7 fingers on each hand."

Some users pointed out how AI footage is not marked, and also claimed that more than half of the footage seems to be AI-generated. They stated:
"Aren't you supposed to mark AI footage."
"Half of the footage is AI."
