TikToker Taylor Rousseau Grigg, a Texas native, has passed away at the age of 25, E! Online reported. Her family confirmed the news, but the exact cause of death remains unclear.
Her husband, Cameron Grigg, revealed on Instagram that she had been battling several health issues for a long time and had been frequently visiting the hospital since they got married in August 2023.
Cameron Grigg has also started a GoFundMe page in the late TikToker's honor to cover medical bills. The bio reads:
"It is with our deepest condolences that we acknowledge the passing of Taylor, who has now spread her wings. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. At this time we would appreciate everyone's respect and privacy for our family at this time. Her social media family was a huge blessing in her life and we cannot thank you all enough for the love and support that you have brought her."
Taylor Rousseau Grigg says she blocked Cameron after he didn't add her back on Snapchat
The two began seeing each other in 2021 after meeting online. During an episode of the Beauty Babes Unfiltered podcast in October 2023, Taylor recounted the first time she noticed her future husband.
"A lot of people think that we met because of TikTok, because he made a video asking me on a date. It is true, but we didn’t exactly meet because of that. This is so embarrassing. I was scrolling on my Explore feed on Instagram, and I saw this guy with a brand, and he had abs and he just looked good.”
She then revealed that she found the “cowboy kind of guy” cute, and so, she slid into his DMs.
"I posted a poll on my Snapchat story with a picture of him and I was like, ‘Should I DM or not?’ And everyone voted yes mostly. I was like, ‘OK, I’m going to do it.’ So, I DM’ed him and I was like, ‘Hi, I don’t normally do this very often but I think you’re cute.’”
However, she also shared that when he didn’t add her back on Snapchat, she “blocked him.” To win her back, Cameron made a TikTok video asking Taylor to go out with him. She agreed, and the rest is history. By 2022, Cameron had popped the big question, and a year later in August, they tied the knot.
Taylor Rousseau Grigg's husband Cameron Grigg says she was a "light" and a "joy" to be around
In an Instagram post, the 24-year-old, reflected on Taylor Rousseau Grigg's life and legacy:
"No one ever expects to have to deal with this kind of pain and heartache, especially at our age. This past year Taylor has dealt with more pain and suffering than most people do in a lifetime. And in spite of that she still has been such a light and always brought joy to everyone around her. (...) I know she’s saved my life and so many others out there. Her earthly body is still here with us being ran by machines to keep her organs viable for donation. More than anything Taylor would want to know that she’s continuing to save people’s lives even after she’s gone from this world. And even though her earthly body may have failed her, her memory and life will be carried on forever."
He continued, reflecting on Taylor Rousseau Grigg's passions and hobbies.
"She doesn’t owe anyone, anything. But she would want everyone to know that shes more than ok. While her earthly body is still here waiting to give the gift of life, we know her spirit is in heaven dancing in the streets made of gold with all her beauty and grace. Her endless shoe/boot collection. And her rhinestones and turquoise jewelry."
Cameron concluded his message by sharing the link to the GoFundMe page and thanking everyone for their love and support in dealing with the loss of his wife, Taylor.
