Stevie Wonder in a video shared on X with filmmaker Spike Lee shows support to Kamala Harris. In the video, he can be seen talking about his relationship with Harris,

"I was excited about Kamala years before people know who she was. I'm very happy for the future. I'm very happy because I know and believe that she will be the next president of these United States. Not to make you guys feel bad, but it takes a woman. But not just any woman, a wonderful woman. And she has done the work consistently. She has had humility and compassion consistently."

During the 2024 Democratic National Convention, he publicly endorsed Harris by performing Higher Ground at the event.


Stevie Wonder and Kamala Harris's friendship explored

Stevie Wonder and Kamala Harris are known to be longtime friends. In 2019, Harris called Stevie's Songs in the Key of Life her favorite album of all time and in 2020 she took to Facebook to celebrate Stevie's birthday by calling him a "living legend and longtime hero of mine."

Amidst the United States Presidential elections, Stevie Wonder announced Sing your Song! As We Fix Our Nation's Broken Heart tour last month which is titled after his single track of the same name.

The 10-date tour began on October 8 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, and will hit other states through October 30. On October 10, Stevie played at the Madison Square Garden while spreading messages of unity. He can be heard saying,

"I believe that America is great only because we of all various ethnicities, everyone has made it so."

Kamala Harris is also backed by other prominent Hollywood celebs, including pop icons like Taylor Swift. Swift in an Instagram post, after a televised presidential debate shared that she had watched the debate and urged people to do their "research on the issues at hand" and the "stance these candidates take" on the topics that matter to them the most.

She informed her audience that as a voter, she makes sure to watch and read everything about the proposed policies and plans.

Swift also noted that she would be casting her vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walf, because she believes that Harris "fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them."

Other celebs that have come out in support of Harris include Kerry Washington, Billie Eilish, Charlie XCX, Mel Brooks, Spike Lee, George Clooney, Oprah Winfrey, JJ Abrams, and more.
