Twitch streamer and YouTuber Kanel Joseph has been doing the rounds online for taking an ice bath for a bit too long. In the video, uploaded on X on October 22, he can be seen struggling to walk and talk on his own, forcing his team to haul him out of the can.
However, what fans found the most bizarre was that before helping him and calling 911, his team posed with him for a thumbnail. Many questioned his team's ethics, noting that putting YouTube before Kanel Joseph's life was outlandish. As one user put it,

Scores online echoed the sentiments, with many positing that no one there really cared about him.

The gravity of the situation was not lost on fans, who could not help but feel disappointed in the way his "friends" reacted.

However, several online called out Kanel Joseph himself, pointing out that he should be doing something productive to show his young viewers, as opposed to putting his own life in danger.

In the video, Kanel Joseph can be seen struggling to mutter the sentence:
"Can you help me get out of here?"
While those around him banded together to help a shivering and struggling Kanel Joseph get out, the two holding him up turned around to pose for the thumbnail. The man behind the camera can be heard saying "Is someone gonna call 911?" while another can be heard saying he's going back upstairs.
The two then leave him to try and walk on his own, and while he thanks them, he can be seen struggling to maintain his balance. Regardless, the others continued jesting at his expense, claiming that he was "crip walking."
Kanel Joseph took to X that same day to upload a video of himself in the passenger seat of a car with his foot up on the dashboard. Wrapped in a bandage and protective gear, he can be seen giving a thumbs-up to the camera. His caption read:
"They took too long to call the police foot’s a lil messed up but I’m all good."
The Twitch streamer is well-known for his prank videos and Just Chatting streams. In May 2024, he opened up on a livestream to reflect on just how much the pressures of content creation were getting to him. Visibly emotional, he said he was "tired" of others accusing him of not working hard enough.
