Floribama Shore alum Kirk Medas reflected on his "only regret" in life days before his demise.

The beloved MTV star died at the age of 33 after being hospitalized and on a ventilator for two weeks due to a "severe case of necrotizing pancreatitis," his family told TMZ. He eventually succumbed to liver failure.

In one of his final posts on social media, he reflected on how he had been trying hard to turn his life around over the past 12 months. In his final post, he can be seen striking a pose on a balcony. The post, dated April 16, came 2 days before he was placed in a Florida intensive care unit.

However, just six weeks before he fell gravely ill, he shared a heartbreaking post with his 310,000 followers. Alongside a video of Kirk Medas working out at the gym with his friends, with the words "it's up to you" imposed over it, the caption read:

"Lost a lot the past year but stayed resilient through it all. Mind, body, spirit. Changing my lifestyle completely was the start. Putting down the bottle and picking up the Bible was the best thing I ever done. My only regret is not making such changes earlier on in life. Still far from perfect but my mind is so much more clear. This is the loneliness men should go through. Me vs me."

Kirk Medas' life and legacy explored:

Kirk Medas was mostly known as an original cast member of the MTV reality show. He was consistent across all four seasons of it, which chronicled the lives of eight 20-somethings living on the 'panhandle' coast, which runs between Florida and Alabama.

Ahead of his demise, Floribama Shore star Aimee Hall took to Instagram to note that her

“friend Kirk has been in the ICU for over two weeks now, battling a severe case of necrotizing pancreatitis.”

She also shared a GoFundMe link to help with Medas’ “overwhelming expenses."

Following his demise, she shared a heartfelt tribute on Facebook, acknowledging that she had “lost a brother, a best friend and heaven gained the most beautiful angel.”

“We are all trying to process this unimaginable loss. Kirk was the glue that held us all together. He loved each and every one of us so deeply, with a heart bigger than this world,” she wrote in the caption of the post. “One sweet day, I know we’ll all be together again. Until then, I’ll miss him every single day.”

Back in 2020, Kirk Medas was arrested for drunk and disorderly behavior in Georgia, The Mirror has reported. TMZ broke the news at the time, noting that he shouted at police: "I'm on a TV show by the way."
