Masters of the Universe is an upcoming superhero film featuring He-Man as its central character. Based on Mattel's iconic franchise, it is scheduled for release on June 5, 2026.

A young man on Earth discovers a fabulous secret legacy as the prince of an alien planet, and must recover a magic sword and return home to protect his kingdom.

Masters Of The Universe sneak peek revealed at CinemaCon 2025

At CinemaCon 2025, held in Las Vegas, the creators of Masters of the Universe unveiled a sneak peek featuring Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam Glenn, also known as He-Man.

The video included a behind-the-scenes reel of the film, showcasing several castles being constructed in front of green screens. The storyline follows Adam Glenn, who returns to Earth, the home of his mother. At the age of 10, he is separated from the power sword. Nearly twenty years later, he becomes He-Man to protect Eternia from Skeletor. The cast members of Masters of the Universe features:

Travis Knight directed Masters of the Universe, with the script penned by Chris Butler. The film's producers are Jason Blumenthal, Robbie Brenner, and Steve Tisch.

In a January 2025 interview with Deadline, Nicholas Galitzine discussed his preparation. He said,

“No pressure, I just have to embody the strongest man in the universe. There’s been a lot of eating and weightlifting, a lot of stunts. I’m eating about 4,000 calories a day, but the amount of physical work I’m doing, you end up hungry at the end of the day, which is quite surprising. This is the fun part.”

Amazon MGM Studios will release Masters of the Universe on June 5, 2026.
