One Direction member Liam Payne revealed during a 2022 episode of the Impaulsive with Logan Paul podcast that one of the band members pushed him against the wall. Although he did not disclose the person's name then, Payne’s ex-girlfriend Maya Henry, in a viral TikTok video, said the person who pushed him was Zayn.

However, some social media users had mixed opinions. Many appeared to justify Zayn’s reported action, while others were surprised.

Liam Payne threatened the person to get their hands off him
In the podcast, Liam Payne said his assertiveness occasionally led to conflicts within the band. When the band member pushed him against a wall, he warned them to remove their hands and threatened they wouldn’t be able to use them again.
Liam Payne mentioned that the bandmate eventually did let go. He also said he had mixed feelings about Zayn, acknowledging both his reasons for disliking him and his reasons for always supporting him.
He then shared his perspective by comparing their upbringings, noting that while his parents were highly supportive to the point of being annoying, Zayn had a different upbringing. He said it was easy to judge someone based on their behavior and label them negatively.
Liam Payne emphasized the crucial importance of understanding a person's struggles to reach that point and their desire to be in that situation.
However, he added that he could somewhat relate to Zayn, as he knew what it felt like to be misunderstood. While he acknowledged that he did not condone Zayn's actions and could not support some of the things he had done, he expressed empathy. He emphasized that the hope is for that person to want to accept the help being offered to them eventually.
