Netflix's upcoming limited series, Jack Whitehall: Fatherhood With My Father, is slated to drop on September 10, 2024. The four-part series follows the new father cum British comedian Jack Hall as he embarks on a journey to understand fatherhood. His father, Michael Whitehall, is accompanying him on this journey. The two previously co-starred in the Netflix series Travels With My Father.

Jack Whitehall had his daughter, Elsie, in September 2023, so he tries to pick at his father's wisdom in the upcoming unscripted show. The father-son duo traverses the world to learn what fatherhood means to different cultures. The official synopsis reads:

"Jack Whitehall and his father embark on a globe-trotting trip to find answers to the big questions facing the comedian after becoming a dad."

Plot of Jack Whitehall: Fatherhood With My Father

The show's trailer dropped in September 2024. It shows clips of him pushing around a pram while roller-blading and climbing up the stairs while struggling with many baby toys. In the clip, we can see him asking his father for advice about the actual birth, to which he jokingly replies,

"I think the best advice I could give you is don't, whatever you do, get down on the business end of things. What goes down on there has nothing to do with you."

However, the trailer also shows a more serious side of him, as he says,

"I genuinely think I might be one of the most inadequate people you could possibly imagine to become a dad. How am I gonna do it?"

In another reflective moment, Jack admits to his mother, Hilary,

"I'm just quite scared."

The video also shows the younger Whitehall trotting around in a baby bump as he tries to understand more about what it's like to be pregnant. To kick things up a notch, he also gets contractions stimulated.

Jack and Michael Whitehall previously starred in a travel documentary/road trip comedy Netflix series. Unlike Jack Whitehall: Fatherhood With My Father, the show depicts the father-son duo embarking on a journey worldwide. The series spans four seasons, with the first debuting in September 2017 and the last in September 2021.
