Elon Musk has responded to Chloe Fineman’s claims that she held him responsible for making her cry when he hosted Saturday Night Live on May 21.
Taking to X, Musk acknowledged the incident and wrote that he was “concerned” about the episode. Clarifying his statement, the Tesla CEO wrote:
“Frankly, it was only on the Thursday before the Saturday that ANY of the sketches generated laughs. I was worried.” He tweeted.
“I was like damn my SNL appearance is going to be so f*cking unfunny that it will make a crackhead sober!! But then it worked out in the end.”
How did Chloe Fineman accuse Elon Musk?
In a now-deleted post on TikTok on November 11, Chloe Fineman recalls how Elon Musk made her burst into tears after criticizing a sketch she had written for an episode in 2021 during his hosting stint on the show.
She begins by mentioning how she came across some articles that show Elon Musk being furious after the SNL cast members mocked him during one of their latest episodes.
"I was like I'm not gonna say anything, but I’m like, no, if you're gonna go on your platform [X] and be rude, guess what?” Chloe begins in her video.
"You made I, Chloe Fineman burst into tears because I stayed up all night writing the sketch. I was so excited, I came in, I asked if you had any questions and you stared at me like you were firing me from Tesla and were like, ‘It’s not funny.'” The comedian calls out Musk in the video.
“I waited for you to be like haha J.K. no, then you started pawing through my script like flipping each page being like ‘I didn’t laugh’ just ‘I didn’t laugh once’. Cut to the sketch made it on and it was like fine and I actually had a really good time and I thought you were really funny in it but, you know, have a little manners, sir." She continued.
Chloe shared how devasted she felt after being blamed for her hard work, which ultimately received a positive response from the viewers.
In their recent episode, Saturday Night Live members mocked President Trump’s victory and pretended they supported him to avoid being on his list of “political enemies.” A former SNL member impersonated Elon Musk during the show. He wore a dark MAGA hat like Musk and acted like him from one of Trump’s rallies before the US election.
This did not go down well with Musk, who took to X to call out Dana Carvey and other cast members of the show. He wrote that the cast was
"mad that @realDonaldTrump won"
He also slammed Carvey by commenting, "Dana Carvey just sounds like Dana Carvey."
