Lizzo is committed to her fitness journey, and the photos she uploaded on social media are proof of the same. In the images posted on Friday, November 22, the 36-year-old singer can be seen wearing a white, off-the-shoulder top and a matching skirt with some braids. However, what caught fans' eyes the most was her visibly new physique.
Several users reacted with praise, while others began positing that the singer was yet another one to join the long list of celebrities resorting to Ozempic to thin down. Here's what one user stated:
"I’m sorry who???? She looks so skinny now."
Others noticed the differences as well:
"I see the Ozempic is working," one user posited.
"All these Ozempic comments but isn’t she the 1st person they always attack for being overweight? So when she does something about it, it’s still an issue. ppl will be mad regardless of what you do," another claimed.
"Lizzo has ALWAYS been pretty these comments are disgusting," one user defended.
"That Ozempic is hitting like crack in the 80's," yet another echoed.
More and more began to weigh in:
"OKAY LIZZEMPIC!!" someone tweeted.
"wait omg this is lizzo??? her transformation is insane like wow," another noticed.
"And she's losing weight naturally you can tell she not saggy or nothing she's always been beautiful next year she sgoimg to be beyond beautiful and ppl will have no choice but to say it," yet another claimed.
"That's definitely not lizzo...how unless she is sick," a fourth person chimed in.
The internet was visibly opinionated, with some dissecting her workout regime, her choice of clothing and hairstyle, and more, while others simply attributed her transformation to the alleged use of Ozempic.
Lizzo says she's very "methodical" when it comes to losing weight, and says she's on the best diet in the world right now
Lizzo has been consistently documenting her fitness journey since 2020, and just this September, she cleared the air in an Instagram post. She revealed that her weight loss was the result of months of lifting weights, exercising, and staying in a calorie deficit.
A month before that, she shared a "What I Eat In a Day" video, where she could be seen munching on chicken wraps, grilled chicken and veggies, and slurping down drinks like lemon tea, peach tea, and okra water. In a voiceover accompanying the video, the Grammy-winner revealed that she was on “one of the healthiest diets in the world and it has some of my favorite foods."
She also revealed that she was a firm believer in veganism, noting that "the vegan diet is the healthiest diet," but her current diet plan "helped me reach my goals and helped me feel good in my body.''
Just this March, the Good as Hell singer opened up about the same when she told the New York Times:
"I've been methodical, losing weight very slowly. I don't really see it because if anyone who's on a natural weight-loss journey knows, losing weight is actually the slowest thing in the world and you don't really notice it until you notice it."
In an old interview with People magazine, the singer asserted that she is proud of and loves her body. She clarified that losing weight was not the goal for her. Instead, it was to stay healthy. She also asserted that she likes "being fat, and I'm beautiful, and I'm healthy. So can we move on?"
In other news, the singer recently made the decision to buy the six-bedroom, nine-bathroom home of actor Jeremy Renner. She paid $12.4 million for the same property, which is close to Laurel Canyon in Los Angeles.
