Rapper Lil Durk, legally known as Durk Banks, was arrested on the grounds of a murder-for-hire plot in Broward County, Florida, on Thursday night. Durk, a father of seven from various relationships, shares one daughter, Willow Banks, with his former fiancée, India Royale, as well as a stepdaughter, Skylar.
According to XXLMag, Durk has been detained at Broward County Jail, where he awaits the transfer of his custody over to the US Marshals. The arrest comes just hours after five other members of the OTF group, founded by Lil Durk, were indicted on the same, with the target being Quando Rondo's cousin.

Lil Durk and India Royale began dating in 2017, and by October of the following year, Royale gave birth to their daughter, Willow Banks. In speaking about their relationship together, he told XXLMag in 2023:
"She always gonna be my girl. We always gonna be together. That’s who I’m dying about right there.”
India is a model and media personality and boasts several million followers across her social media platforms. She has also worked as an ambassador for Fashion Nova. The two got engaged in 2021, when Lil Durk called her on stage during Lollapalooza 2021. He asked her the big "Will you marry me?" in front of the audience, their friends and family, and even their two children.
"You know I love you to death, you've been holding me down ... when I was going through a lot. You've been the realest to me and I love you to death ... Do you wanna be my wife?"
Lil Durk also reflected on how he felt about his stepdaughter, telling XXLMag:
"Big Sky is India’s daughter. You know I’ve been there for her. So, she one of mines. She actually smart as hell. She would try and teach me how to dress. Willow’s mean and sneaky.”
Apart from Skylar and Willow, Lil Durk is also the father to Bella, Zayden, Romeo, and Du'mier Banks. Furthermore, following his brother, OTF DThang's passing in 2021, Durk took in his two kids as well.

The charges brought forth against the OTF members include conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire, committing murder-for-hire involving a death, and use of a machine gun in a violent crime resulting in death. Should they be found guilty, the maximum penalization includes execution.
Details about his indictment remain scarce, but according to Blast, the rapper's legal representatives, Brian Bieber, and Alek Ubieta, revealed that the Chicago rapper is slated to make an appearance in federal court on Friday in Miami, Florida.
Notably, prior to being cuffed, the rapper booked three different international flights, one of which required a pit stop in Italy, FBI documents have revealed. However, according to Hip Hop DX, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials informed authorities of the same, prompting them to intervene.
One of the flights was slated to fly out to Dubai, with a layover in Doha, Qatar, while another was headed to Switzerland, with a layover in New Jersey. Both of them were booked for October 24, 2024. However, According to The Tribune, Durk failed to board either plane, and instead flew out on his private jet to Miami.
According to TMZ, the feds believe the crimes are a retaliation for the slaying of King Von in Atlanta four years ago. Back in November 2020, one of Quando's associates, Lul Timm, pulled out a gun and shot King Von to death following an altercation between the two. While he was initially placed behind bars, the charges were later dropped.
