Raven-Symoné and her wife, Miranda Pearman-Maday, recently hosted Rondell Sheridan on their Tea Time podcast.

During their conversation, the guest and the hosts talked about the teen sitcom That’s So Raven. At one point, Miranda asked Rondell about his and Raven’s co-star, Orlando Brown.

The rapper-actor has targeted the Raven’s Home actress on different occasions using questionable remarks. Rondell Sheridan, who portrayed Raven’s father on the sitcom and its spin-off, highlighted Orlando Brown’s career trajectory and controversies, as he said,

“I say, ‘How would you be, if you were 14 and I gave you an obscene amount of money that you were the father of your house and you had no supervision. How would you turn out? [...] You're either going to be home alone where you're ordering food and taking care of yourself at home or you're not at home at all and you're out.’ There's no… I can't imagine myself.”

Raven-Symoné proclaimed that Orlando was the same person “with a couple of restraints” when they were on the That’s So Raven set. She suggested that the actor-rapper “went crazy” after the “restraints came off.” The 39-year-old actress also noted that Orlando Brown is “one of the most talented young men” of their generation.

Rondell Sheridan added to Raven’s remarks, claiming Orlando "had all of the tools,"

“We [Rondell and Raven] had a conversation… I don't know what year it was of ‘Raven.’ And I said, ‘When this show is over.’ I go, ‘You [Raven] are going to be the big star.’ And I go, ‘You know who’s going to be number two and we both said Orlando.’ [...] He was the guy he had… He had all of the tools.”

Raven-Symoné feels she doesn’t need to “stoop that low” to respond to Orlando Brown

Rondell Sheridan recounted his conversation with the Tea Time co-host about their That’s So Raven castmate, revealing how he felt about Orlando’s talent and thought he would make it big. Raven-Symoné responded by claiming that things weren’t ideal for Brown during the last season of their sitcom. The Dr. Dolittle actress said,

“I wouldn't have said that [during the last season]. Because we kind of saw the decline, then. Things were not really working so well, and there were a lot of issues. [...] Because it's just that he got older, you know, stuff was going on between him and Anneliese [van der Pol] that I wasn't involved with…”

She also addressed Orlando Brown's comments about her in his past interviews. Raven-Symoné claimed that she doesn’t need to lower herself to respond. She said,

“He, you know, talks crazy about me and people always wonder why I never say anything. It's because I don't need to stoop that low because I've known him since I was 14. I am almost 40 and I don't have to do that to be popular. He's using that as a stick.”

On being asked by Rondell Sheridan about calling Orlando to clear everything out, Raven said her mother wanted her to do the same. Miranda Pearman-Maday explained her stance and said,

“He would see your phone number though and be like ‘Camera's up… camera's up’ and answer with you on live…”

Miranda and Raven recently appeared together on The Jason Lee Show, where the latter gave a similar reply regarding Orlando’s comments about her. The Cosby Show actress explained how she doesn’t want to “corroborate” anything her former co-star alleges. Raven-Symoné also said that Orlando has his platform, and she has hers when it comes to expressing their views.
