Avengers: Doomsday - Halle Berry is reportedly not far from closing her deal as Storm

The train is yet to see more passengers, it seems, before it arrives at the Avengers: Doomsday station. Recently, we saw Marvel revealing the initial roster and Robert Downey Jr. hinting at a future addition to this roster. There are still some who are missing, but they'll hopefully join the crew if more members are announced.

What's surprising is that the seven X-Men are hopping in for the next Russo Brothers film. Now things might get exciting as industry scooper Daniel Richtman has suggested that Halle Berry might join them too as Ororo Munroe, aka Storm, a role she was introduced to in the 2000’s X-Men. If she is in the film, then it seems like Patrick Stewart's Professor X now has another contender challenging his record.

Last year, she spoke to ComicBookMovie.com's Josh Wilding, who asked her about a potential appearance in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. To that, she simply told him,

"You never know. We'll find out."

Looks like we are about to.

As the character's name suggests, she can control weather alongside abilities like lightning travel, electricity manipulation, atmospheric adaptation, and more. If she appears in any of the upcoming Avengers films, these abilities simply won't be enough against the new threat.

Storm's screen time in Avengers: Doomsday can be concerning like others

Halle Berry has appeared in four X-Men movies as Storm, including the original trilogy and Days of Future Past. She has gotten ample screen time in them. But her potential appearance in Avengers: Doomsday will be different.

We already saw a flock of superheroes assembling in the biggest comic book scene brought to the screen. If we consider both the films, Infinity War and Endgame, everyone got specific screen time, with some even appearing in blink-and-miss scenes.

The Russos are likely to bring the same formula to the table for Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. That said, Halle Berry's potential appearance as Storm in either of the films might get a few minutes on the screen to impress the audience.

Fans are busy talking about the film's plot alongside other potential appearances that haven't been announced yet. Some also hope to see Carol Danvers, Monica Rambeau, and Kamala Khan joining the crew. This comes with Kelsey Grammar's Beast making a cameo in The Marvels (2023). He is among the seven confirmed X-Men in Doomsday.

Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to be released on May 1, 2026.
