American rapper GloRilla has endorsed Kamala Harris for the upcoming US Presidential elections. In addition to the endorsement, the rapper has stated five reasons people should vote for Harris in an Instagram video posted on October 28, 2024.

GloRilla stated the four reasons as a woman’s right to choose, protecting the LGBTQIA+ community, funding for public education, and $15/hr minimum wage. Kamala Harris had previously pledged that, if elected president, she would approve a bill to restore Roe v. Wade.

Her endorsement has drawn reactions from social media users. One X user reacted by saying:

“all my fave rap girlies, exactly.”

Netizens supported the rapper while others seemingly mourned Donald Trump’s loss.

“I feel sorry for trump supporters,” a social media user wrote.
“KURMERLA HURRISSS!!!! YEAH GLO!” a person commented.
“Well. Kamala is going out there to get her support,” another X user mentioned.

Others wrote that the rapper's post changed their voting decisions and others complimented the rapper’s influence.

“Glo ain’t scared!!!” an online user pointed out.
“2 votes secured from Glorillanators. GAG impactful mogul that GLOOOOO influence is real,” a netizen reacted.
“That really changed my vote. Thank glorilla for changing my mind,” another social media user commented.
“That's what we want keeping it Glo and real,” a person mentioned on X.

The rapper added a caption to the clip encouraging viewers to vote for Kamala Harris on November 5, 2024, with a link to iwillvote.com. The video was set to I Luv Her, a track featuring T-Pain from her debut studio album, Glorious, which was recently released.

GloRilla met Joe Biden and Kamala Harris at the White House in March 2024

The rapper met President Joe Biden and Vice President Harris at the White House in March 2024. She expressed amazement at the experience and noted that few people had the chance to meet both leaders.

In a CNN interview, she reflected on her disbelief at finding herself in the White House, meeting both the President and Vice President, and feeling a newfound confidence afterward.

Journalist Laura Coates then read a message from GloRilla’s mother, who shared her pride in her daughter’s journey.

She reflected on her past, going from being a mother of many in an unfurnished blue house in Frayser to now being the proud parent of a successful rapper, living in a beautifully furnished home. She encouraged her daughter to keep going strong.

Earlier in the month, Kamala Harris stated to CNN her strong support for raising the minimum wage, emphasizing that hardworking Americans, whether at fast-food jobs or elsewhere, should be able to support their families and meet their needs.

GloRilla recently joined a wave of celebrities endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris in the final days before the election. Over the weekend, Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland formally voiced their support at Harris’s campaign rally in Houston, where they praised her efforts.

Other artists, including Megan Thee Stallion, Lizzo, Ariana Grande, Jermaine Dupri, Fat Joe, Bad Bunny, Ricky Martin, and Jennifer Lopez, have backed Kamala Harris for president.
