Daniel Stern is married to Laure Mattos.

The actor married actress Laure Mattos in 1980. They have three children together, including Henry Stern, who is a member of the California State Senate. Daniel Stern was recently cited by police for reportedly soliciting prostitution in California, as per TMZ. Further details regarding the citation are yet to be revealed.

According to Legal Clarity, a police citation is a formal notice of violation of a law or statute and serves as a notice of the infraction. It is not a legal charge and is most often used when the crime in question does not require or warrant an immediate escalation to an arrest.

A citation usually contains the details of the violation, the specific law that was violated, the date, time, and other relevant details. Those who are cited for the law can either comply with the citation and pay a fine if a fine is required in the specific instance or contest the citation with a not guilty plea in court, with some citations automatically mandating a court hearing.

Stern was cited at a hotel in Camarillo, Ventura County in California, where he is an artist in residence at the Studio Channel Islands Art Centre. The exact details of what led to the citation and who he was reportedly soliciting for prostitution are not known as of the writing of this article.

Furthermore, there have been no official statements from Stern as of the writing of this article regarding this reported incident. Neither have any other members of the Stern family come forward with statements regarding this alleged incident so far.

Daniel Stern lives privately on a farm

The actor has been living a private life away from the limelight. Earlier, he had revealed why he would not attend Home Alone's 35th anniversary events in an exclusive interview with People Magazine, stating:

"I don't leave my farm. It's no offense to the movie. I'm just ... a phone call, Zoom call, I'm in. but... I'm a bit of a homebody."

Daniel Stern also spoke about the impact of Home Alone on the broader cultural zeitgeist in his interview with People Magazine, stating that while he hadn't known that it would go on to have such a big impact, he did know that the film was rather special:

"I did know that it was a gem of a movie. John Hughes wrote the funniest script I've ever read. I mean, I was rolling on the floor, laughing reading it. It was so funny, but it was also full of heart and you know - the kid and the neighbor saves him and he and the mother reunite ..."

Daniel Stern continued:

"I mean it was so emotional. It was so funny, it was so true and so I did know that. I was hopeful that we were making a great movie. I had no idea obviously - no one could - of the longevity of its life."
