What is the story of How To Train Your Dragon?
As per reports, the upcoming live-action remake of the fantasy franchise will supposedly follow in the footsteps of the original film released in 2010. The story revolves around Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III (Mason Thames), a young but clumsy Viking from Berk village.
He is the son of Stoik the Vast (played by 300 star Gerard Butler), the head of the village. The natives have a cruel favorite sport—that is, slaying dragons. However, Hiccup does not like engaging in all that.
So, to impress his father, he embarks on a journey to invent new ways of communicating with dragons. While on his quest, Hiccup comes across a very dangerous breed of dragon called Night Fury and names it Toothless.
However, he grows fond of the beast and soon learns the dragon is not as harmful as it appears. So he starts to train Toothless, and their bond becomes stronger. He eventually proves that dragons and Vikings can be a part of the same ecosystem.
Hiccup's invention changes the whole scenario, as Berk is now a place filled with dragon riders. The 2025 spin-off will likely follow a plot close to this with minor additions or changes from the original novel, which have not been confirmed yet.
