Her daughter, Aislinn Derbez, took to her Instagram stories to share an emotional message, confirming that the death of her mother was caused by a heart attack. She added in her statement that at this time she would like to grieve in peace in the company of her family.

The news of her death was first circulated by Jacqueline Martinez, a social media influencer who stated that she died on November 24, 2025. Although Michel was formally trained in acting and dancing, she eventually became a voice artist.

Michel was married to Eugenio Derbez, with whom she shares Aislinn Derbez. She was born in 1986 and is the eldest of her daughters. Later, she married television narrator Jorge Alberto Aguilera and had two more daughters named Michelle and Chiara.

Aislinn Derbez, a famous Mexican actress is currently mouring the loss of her mother, Gabriela Michel who passed away recently. Her father is Eugenio Derbez, one of the best-known Mexican actor and comedian.

According to reports, Michel and Derbez met while working at Televisa, a Mexican mass media company where Michel worked as a stage director and production manager, and Eugenio Derbez was a guest host on one of the shows.

They eventually fell for each other and started a relationship which lasted for seven years and resulted in the birth of their daughter. They got married in 1986 but it resulted in divorce after less than a year.

Aislinn was married to actor Mauricio Ochmann, but later divorced. They share a daughter named Kailani.

She has three siblings on her father’s side and two on her mother’s side. After his marriage to Gabriela Michel failed, Eugenio Derbez had three more children from his later relationships. They are all working in the entertainment industry.

He welcomed Vadhir Derbez with his then-girlfriend, Silvana Prince in 1991. He is an actor and a producer who debuted in the film industry at the age of five. Since then he has been seen in many commercials, TV shows and films. He has also launched a successful music career under the stage name VADHIR.

Eugenio then welcomed his third child, José Eduardo Derbez with his ex-girlfriend and wife, Victoria Roffo. They were married from 1991 to 1996. Roffo is a Mexican actress who later married Omar Fayad Meneses. Jose is an actor and a reality TV star. He made his debut by starring in an episode of his father’s sitcom La familia P. Luche.

He is currently in a relationship with fashion model and content creator, Paola Dalay. They are parents to a daughter named Tessa.

After his marriages to Gabriela Michel and Victoria Roffo came to an end, Derbez went on to marry for a third time to Alessandra Rosaldo. They have been together since 2012 and share a daughter, Aitana Derbez Rosaldo. She is the youngest of his children.
