Tom Hardy's upcoming action thriller film Havoc is set to release next year on Netflix, sources have confirmed. XYZ Films will produce the movie along with director Gareth Evans, known for his work in The Raid (2011). Hardy himself will take up the role of a co-producer. Ed Talfan and Aram Tertzakian will also be on the team.
The story revolves around a detective's adventures through the underworld in order to save the life of an influential politician's son. Havoc will star Hardy as the protagonist Walker, a detective. Alongside him we will have Xelia Mendes-Jones, Forest Whitaker and Timothy Olyphant.

Filming began way back in 2021 and was wrapped up within a few months. The major locations chosen for shooting the movie were Cardiff (Wales), Barry Island Pleasure Park (South Wales) and Brangwyn Hall (Swansea). The official synopsis of Havoc reads:
"After a drug deal gone wrong, a bruised detective must fight his way through the criminal underworld to rescue a politician's estranged son, unraveling a deep web of corruption and conspiracy that ensnares his entire city."

When will Havoc be released?
As per latest reports, Havoc will be released on Netflix in 2025. However, no date has been confirmed yet by XYZ films or the online streaming platform.
It was officially announced in February, 2021 that Gareth Evans will be associated with the film as the director and that he has signed an exclusive deal with Netflix. Shortly after the first look was revealed, there has been much speculation among fans about the release date and what the story will look like.
What do we know about the plot of Havoc?
Havoc revolves around the life of a detective named Walker (played by Tom Hardy) who gets stuck in a web of conspiracies in the underworld. It all starts with a drug deal that goes wrong and eventually lands him in a position where he has to take certain risks to rescue the estranged son of an influential politician.
While his city brews corruption all around, Walker tries to fight his way through and accomplish the one-man mission he embarks upon. So far, there is no other update on how the plot will further culminate to the climax. It thus leaves the audience eagerly waiting for an official teaser or trailer.
