There's a lot of hype surrounding the Street Fighter movie. That's majorly due to the film's cast. Some interesting faces are rumored to appear in it, and fans simply can't keep calm after learning that. As of now, the film's IMDb listing has 10 names. More are likely to be added soon.

A film adaptation of Street Fighter was produced in 1994. Though it only holds an 11% critics' approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, it has become a cult classic. That film starred Jean-Claude Van Damme, Ming-Na Wen, Peter Tuiasosopo, and more.

This can be considered a reboot, and Kitao Sakurai is directing it with a screenplay from Dalan Musson. We don't have any plot details at the moment, but we will see popular characters from the franchise—including Blanka, M. Bison, Guile, and more—return. As per a Deadline report, the film’s cast is all but confirmed, so it is possible some may be replaced when the official announcement is made.

Who might end up in the upcoming Street Fighter movie?

Jason Momoa as Blanka

Jason Momoa will likely play Blanka, a mutated human capable of generating electricity, in the upcoming Street Fighter movie.

David Dastmalchian as M. Bison

This one is interesting because it will be worthwhile to see how David Dastmalchian pulls off the physique of M. Bison. Though we can say the actor can nail this portrayal of the megalomaniac.

Callina Liang as Chun-Li

The Canadian actress is said to be playing Chun-Li. Many don't know this, but Chun-Li was the first-ever female playable character in a fighting game.

Noah Centineo as Ken

Ken is usually seen as Ryu's clone in the franchise. He is more social and also Ryu's best friend and rival. There's also a brainwashed version of him called Violent Ken.

Andrew Koji as Ryu

Then there's Andrew Koji, who will likely play Ryu. Like Ken, he also has an evil version called Evil Ryu. Over the years, he has become one of the most popular characters in video games.

Orville Peck as Vega

Vega shares one thing with Marvel's Wolverine: claws. Though they are not adamantium, they sure are adamant, like their bearer.

Roman Reigns as Akuma

Joe Anoa'i, aka Roman Reigns, is Akuma in the upcoming Street Fighter movie. Just look for the character's images on the internet. Even the devil would want to avoid messing with him.

50 Cent as Balrog

The popular rapper and actor is said to play Balrog, a boxer who works for M. Bison. Interestingly, Vega too is sometimes called Balrog, so don't confuse them.

Cody Rhodes as Guile

In the 1994 Street Fighter movie, Jean-Claude Van Damme played Guile. WWE superstar Cody Rhodes is said to be playing the character in the upcoming film.

Andrew Schulz as Dan Hibiki

The stand-up comedian and actor will likely appear as Dan Hibiki, which is one perfect casting, as the character himself was created as a parody of characters in the Art of Fighting series—Ryo Sakazaki and Robert Garcia. For Capcom, that's one ripoff of Ryu and Ken.
