Let's explore if Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning has a post-credit scene or not.

No, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning does not feature any post-credit sequence. This is not surprising, as the franchise does not include a post-credit scene. However, in the previous installment, Dead Reckoning Part One, it ends on a cliffhanger note. But it wasn't technically a post-credit sequence.

The eighth installment in the franchise, the film is reportedly Tom Cruise' last outing as Ethan Hunt. In an interview with Empire magazine, the actor was asked about the same, and he said:

"You gotta see the movie. It’s a hard thing for me to discuss at the moment because it really is something that you have to experience."

He further called Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning an epic emotional journey of the entire franchise. The cast members of the film include:

  • Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt
  • Hayley Atwell as Grace
  • Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell
  • Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn
  • Henry Czerny as Eugene Kittridge
  • Angela Bassett as Erika Sloane
  • Esai Morales as Gabriel
  • Pom Klementieff as Paris
  • Mariela Garriga as Marie

McQuarrie spoke to Collider in a recent interview about a dangerous plane stunt performed by Cruise. He said:

"What you're seeing in this movie is that. We've been talking about a biplane sequence for years. We've been talking about a submarine for years. The ending of the movie, the last scene in Trafalgar Square, is a concept Tom and I have been talking about since the first Mission: Impossible I worked on. They find their way in there eventually."

There were also reports that Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning was supposed to take place in outer space. The director refuted and said they would have to rethink how to shoot if it took place in zero gravity:

"I get asked all the time. The really tricky thing about shooting in outer space is Mission relies entirely on gravity. When you think about every single memorable stunt in a Mission: Impossible, gravity is a huge factor. So, shooting in Zero-G would be a complete rethink of how to make a Mission: Impossible."

The franchise started in 1996 with Mission: Impossible, which was directed by Brian De Palma. It was followed by several other installments that were helmed by different directors. McQuarrie entered the franchise by directing 2015's Rogue Nation, and he went on to direct Fallout and Dead Reckoning Part One.
