The company announced the news on its Instagram account by sharing a few photos of its model, Irwin, who posed for the ads. In a few shots, he was seen holding reptiles.

“I wish I could say I was very suave and cool about the whole thing, but I was like, 'Yes! Let's do it!' Because Bonds in Australia is an absolute icon. Also, I'm at this point in my life where I'm trying to do as many different and random exciting things, and if it's something that makes me a little bit nervous, that I've never done before and it's a bit of an adrenaline rush? That's what I want to be doing." He told People magazine.

Another report by the same outlet stated that he was in a relationship with Rorie Buckey, but the couple announced their split in February 2024.

Robert Irwin and Rorie Buckey were first rumored to be dating in November 2022 after they were spotted on a date in Queensland. They were photographed again weeks later at the Australian zoo, celebrating Irwin’s birthday, reported Today.

They made their red-carpet debut in July 2023 at the Sydney premiere of Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One.” At that time, few reports stated that they had been dating since 2022, but neither of the two confirmed it.

Robert Irwin is a wildlife photographer and the son of the Australian “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin, who was reportedly killed by a stingray while filming a wildlife documentary on the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland in 2006, according to a report in Sky News.

Buckey is Heath Ledger's niece. Ledger reportedly died in 2008 from an accidental overdose.

In a recent interview with People Magazine, Irwin opened up about where he thinks he would meet his future partner, and that place is none other than the Australian zoo. He said:

“Interestingly, my parents, my sister Bindi met her husband [Chandler Powell] here — everyone met here at our wildlife sanctuary.”

He added that in both cases, they were American tourists who visited the zoo, so he, too, is waiting for one. Irwin and his sister Bindi followed the footsteps of their late father and embraced his legacy as wildlife conservationists and television personalities.
