What to expect on Days of our Lives
It's a very special day in Salem as Jack (Matthew Ashford) joins Jennifer (Melissa Reeves) at the Horton house for some memories — and maybe a little added drama, as well.
Chad (Billy Flynn) starts the day with Cat (AnnaLynne McCord), thinking their romance will be fine and weather the storm that is Abigail's family. However, when he gets home, he finds Thomas is angrier at him than ever. He even blurts out to Jack and Jennifer that Chad is now dating Cat Greene.
Chad takes his son aside to talk, as Thomas still claims he doesn't feel well. Thomas (Cary Christopher) eventually gets his nerve up and makes a bold request of Chad. Does he ask his dad not to see Cat anymore?
Is that why Chad is forced to break a hard truth to Cat? Chad's first priority is his family, so will he do what Thomas wants, at least for now? Perhaps he will just tell Cat that it's not the time to make their relationship public just yet, as he had wanted. Will Cat be willing to live with that?
As for Abigail's brother, JJ remains troubled after his incident with Theo in Horton Town Square last week. Jada told him he did everything right, but JJ still doesn't feel confident as a cop anymore.
A time for memories
At least it's not all chaos and drama for Jack and Jennifer's latest visit to Salem. In fact, it's time for a celebration with some flashbacks. Jack, Jennifer, and Julie reminisce about Jennifer's 40 years in Salem, from the time Jennifer was a teenager dating Glenn Gallagher (Rob Estes) and Frankie Brady (Billy Warlock), to her life with Jack and their children.

Jennifer has been through it all as a Salem mainstay. She was widowed multiple times as Jack was presumed dead multiple times. She had romances with Peter Blake (Peter Blake), Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan), and Daniel Jonas (Shawn Christian). She battled an addiction to painkillers, and she even lost a child. And we get to remember her life.
