Days of our Lives spoilers, October 24: Johnny has a whole lot of explaining to do

Johnny (Carson Boatman) sure put his foot in it when he accused Chanel (Raven Bowens) of cheating on him by calling his wife a "cheating slut." Right after that, he walked out of a hospital exam room and into the hospital halls to find out that Chanel had arranged a surprise birthday party for him. That was what she was planning with Alex (Robert Scott Wilson)—not another hospital room tryst.

Chanel is furious at her husband for doubting her, and Johnny feels like a complete fool. Will Alex and Stephanie (Abigail Klein) decide to make a public go of their relationship so Johnny is aware of what a massive mistake he just made? Not only did he accuse his wife of cheating, but he met a woman in a bar and took off his wedding ring, among other things.

Johnny now knows he may have blown up his marriage for good, all because of his paranoid jealousy. Chanel doesn't even want to look at Johnny after the way he's treated her. She had already assured him she had no interest in Alex at all, but Johnny refused to trust and believe her.

Johnny and Chanel strived so hard to be together, but now it looks like Johnny might send Chanel to her mother's place—and divorce court.

Alex goes to bat for Stephanie

While Chanel deals with her marital troubles, Alex is more concerned with making sure that he and Stephanie can continue working together on Body and Soul. When Alex learns that Stephanie is about to get canned, he pulls out all the stops to save her job. It doesn't matter to him that Stephanie wants to end the benefits part of their friendship.

Alex pleads with Kate (Lauren Koslow) not to fire Stephanie, but as always, Kate drives a hard bargain. Everything is about business with Kate, and she rarely considers personal feelings when it comes to her professional life. Alex makes a great case for why Stephanie should continue being the PR guru for Body and Soul. If he succeeds, will this show Stephanie just how much Alex cares and make her want to pursue a true relationship with him?
