Days of our Lives spoilers, March 28: Stephanie tells Alex a big fat secret

What to expect on Days of our Lives

Stephanie (Abigail Klein) has grown weary of keeping a secret to herself that has nothing to do with her, but she had been willing to do it for Sarah's (Linsey Godfrey) sake. However, when Sarah asked her to lie to Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) and pretend she was having an affair with Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier), it was a bridge too far for Ms. Johnson.

As Alex asks her to look him in the eye and tell him the truth, Stephanie decides to just come out with it. Yes, she and Philip share a secret, but they are not sleeping together. Instead, Stephanie is aware that Philip and Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) forged a letter from Victor (the late John Aniston) claiming that Philip is entitled to Titan. That means that Xander (Paul Telfer) is in the dark, and Philip has no business working for Victor's company.

Can Stephanie convince Alex to keep this information to himself? He was already the victim of one forged letter regarding Victor's will, so he feels for Xander. He wouldn't want to keep this news from his cousin.

At the Kiriakis mansion, Sarah and Philip start freaking out because they know the jig is almost up. They are going to have to come clean about that letter sooner rather than later — and face the consequences of their lies.

The search for John heats up

Marlena (Deidre Hall) and Steve (Stephen Nichols) continue their search for John (the late Drake Hogestyn) in Estonia, where they meet up with ISA agent Andrew Donovan (Colton Little) and John's son Paul Narita (Christopher Sean). While Marlena and Paul reminisce about good times with John in a series of flashbacks, Steve has a meeting with Andrew.

Steve isn't surprised when Andrew tells him there is more to John's disappearance than he has let on. In fact, he hasn't even told Paul everything, and they are engaged to be married.

When Andrew later meets with Marlena, he warns her that time is running out for her husband. Will the foursome get a lead soon? Can John Black be saved?
