Louise Sorel is returning to her old Days of our Lives stomping grounds next week when Vivian Alamain makes a return engagement to Salem. However, she won't be alone. According to Soap Opera Digest, John-Paul Lavoisier is also returning as Philip Kiriakis.

The last time DAYS fans saw Vivian in 2023, she made a scene at Victor Kiriakis' (the late John Aniston) funeral. Vivian then caused trouble for the family, including Victor and Kate's (Lauren Koslow) son.

Philip was also in town for his dad's memorial but didn't stay long. Philip and Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) decided to leave town together after Chloe learned her fiance, Xander (Paul Telfer), had fathered Sarah's (Linsey Godfrey) little girl.

Sorel began her DAYS tenure back in 1992 when she was cast as Lawrence Alamain's (Michael Sabatino) eccentric aunt with a hardened heart. After all, she buried Lawrence's love, Carly Manning (Crystal Chappell), alive.

When Vivian fell for Victor while he was married to Kate, she stole Victor and Kate's embryo and had it implanted into her uterus. Thus, Vivian is the woman who gave birth to Philip. When Vivian and Philip returned last year, Vivian constantly called Philip her son, which drove both Philip and Kate crazy.

Lavoisier, whose previous soap credit was playing Rex Balsam on One Life to Live, has been bringing Philip to life off and on since 2015. His first airdate is set for October 25, while Sorel makes her first appearance the following week.

While there's no word on exactly what trouble Philip and Vivian will get themselves into this time, their returns usually spell chaos for all involved.

Lavoisier told Soaps.com that he is back to save his family's company.

"He’s come back to protect Titan and hold up the honor of his father, the empire that his father built, and claim his birthright," Lavoisier said. "[He wants] to keep Titan going the way he felt that his father would have wanted it to be, and to make it even better, to do things that maybe his father couldn’t have."

On the October 21 episode, Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) demanded that Xander hand over Victor's company to her, and in exchange, she would give him the serum that could help Sarah walk again. Will Philip protect Titan from the DiMera clan, which includes Vivian's son, Stefan? Stay tuned to find out.
