Abigail's devastating death continues to consume her loved ones, and Jennifer has been especially affected as the months go on

In fact, Jennifer has been hiding that her dependency on pills has resurfaced in the wake of Abigail's death

A concerned Maggie reaches out to Jennifer when she needs it the most, while Gwen gets a helping hand from her father

Jack jolts his family with his concerning choice, as a grateful Gwen finds her freedom (for now)

Making bail might be a freeing moment for Gwen, but she shouldn't get too used to fortune's good graces, as her luck is quick to change

Leo's days as a free man might be in jeopardy, but he remains firm that he's not one bit guilty of either crime

There's no love lost between Leo's lawyer and the Commish, as a riled Rafe puts Sloan on notice once again

An already overwhelmed Chad feels further consumed by heartache as his bestie, Sonny, fights for his life

Loved ones gather around Sonny, including Will, who rapidly returned to Salem to be with his fallen husband

As Sonny's condition is touch and go, Victor decrees the show must go on, and he has Alex and Stephanie take the reins on a Titan task

Victor's assignment has a smitten Alex hopeful, since he'll be able to spend more time around Stephanie

Abe and Paulina are all ears as Stephanie has something surprising to share about his race for the gubernatorial mansion

Abe's race might hit some rocky patches, as Paulina's past isn't picture perfect, despite her overwhelming success

A confident Stephanie shares a strategy with Paulina, while Jada shares a piece of her mind at Steve over his somewhat outlaw actions

As Dr. Rolf's laboratory gets a little cozier once Orpheus arrives, Kristen demands the mad scientist take immediate action

Dr. Rolf is commanded to bring a comatose Stefan back to consciousness straightaway or else confront Kristen's wrath

While Kristen complicates things for the mad scientist, Brady and Chloe consider Kristen's conduct madder than ever

Johnny's maddened by E.J.'s callous treatment of Ava and lets his father know he won't stand for her to be treated that way

Ava may start to question her own sanity after another alarming occurrence, though her growing bond with Johnny may balance that out

As another moment bonds Ava and Johnny, E.J. is determined to break the bond between Ava and Gabi

E.J. goes after Gabi with both barrels blazing, while Li is desperately in love and will do whatever he can to secure his future with Gabi

Gabi is lent a large shock by Li's gutsy actions, and Xander and Sarah shock their loved ones with an impromptu wedding

Though they finally tie the knot, Xander and Sarah aren't the only Salemites celebrating their love

John and Marlena share in some old-school romance with strawberries, whipped cream, and a sentimental walk down memory lane
