Satan still has a lot of sinister acts to unleash on Salem, and Kayla becomes collateral damage as it seeks its demonic revenge on Belle

A scared Steve leaps into action upon spotting his Sweetness's bloody, lifeless body of the floor

Luckily, Kayla's condition after her encounter with Satan wasn't so serious, but the devil is certainly serious about a patient's condition

Satan saunters into Jan Spears's hospital room and uses its black magic to awaken the sleeping psycho from her coma

Satan explains her contempt for Belle, which Jan can surely relate to, and the two hash out a hellish revenge plot

An unsuspecting and horribly hoodwinked Shawn succumbs to Satan and Jan's passionate plans for payback

Belle can barely believe her eyes when she finds Shawn in a compromising position with someone shockingly familiar

Belle finds herself believing her brother Brady isn't the culprit, but somebody wants it to appear that way

Belle shares her beliefs with Shawn, as pieces of the night Philip vanished start to come back to Brady

Chloe also believes in Brady, and broaches her concerns to Kate about the haste with which she and Victor had Philip declared dead

Kate stands firmly by her decision (and deception, as she knows the truth about Philip's faux disappearance)

Still, Kate's cover-up could cost her Roman, as secrets as sinister as staged disappearances are hard to keep covered up

A self-possessed Philip believes he has all his bases covered, while Lucas uncovers a fascinating find that certainly seems like a game-changer

Scared schemer Gwen's greedy game to keep Xander all to herself could change in a moment if her Sarah-sized secret comes out

In fact, Xander is hellbent on seeking answers about Sarah and goes to a trusted source to secure some insight

As Gwen attempts to do damage control to ensure her secret, another Salemite ends up with a scandalous one of their own

Now that Rafe and Nicole's naughty list actions have been observed by Ava, she's sitting on a bombshell secret, too

The fallout from the bombshell dropped at Abe and Paulina's would-be wedding can still be felt, much to Paulina's displeasure

Lani remains displeased with her aunt-turned-mother and nearly gives her frostbite by attempting to give Paulina the cold shoulder

Paulina's pleas aren't enough to make Lani feel forgiveness yet, but there's always room for Christmas miracles in Salem

Steve and Allie may need a miracle, as Tripp is seemingly nowhere to be found, while Johnny and Chanel soon find themselves explaining their actions

A jolly Johnny and Chanel also return to Salem and are armed with a sleigh-sized shocker sure to stun their loves ones

Smiles aren't exactly plastered on the faces of Johnny and Chanel's loved ones once their news is sprung

While Johnny and Chanel explain their actions, Sami's stubbornness may soon pay off after spending a sentimental second with E.J.

Sentiments runs high at the Horton home when a long-awaited homecoming brightens their holiday happenings

Sadly, it's not all merriment on Christmas Eve for the Hortons and company, as there'll be twists and turns that threaten their time-honored traditions

A fiery Satan becomes an unwelcomed guest at the Hortons' tree-trimming tradition, and it wants Ciara's baby

The Horton home becomes a hotbed of activity as Ben, Doug, and Julie defend mother-to-be Ciara against Satan

Consumed with concern over Satan's hold on Marlena, John may soon be able to breathe a sigh of relief come Christmas, as he receives a gift seemingly sent from God himself
