Danger sweeps into Salem!

Determined to keep her word, Hope is desperate to help Hattie, and she urges Eric to reach out to her prison pal

Detective Raines also contacts Hattie, and he demands answers about Hope's breakout

While Hattie's hard times get a little harder, Hope's time as a fugitive may be in peril as Detective Raines is in pursuit

A determined Detective Raines makes Hope his priority and won't budge from his mission, even though it's speculated Stefano is alive

Hope momentarily evades Detective Raines, but when he finally has her cornered, it becomes a tense standoff with guns aimed at Hope

While Ciara remains scared for Hope, she also remains tense as she's unsure what to do about her feelings for Theo

As Rafe's continued concern for Hope consumes him, Steve attempts to persuade him there'll be a positive outcome

Rafe, Steve, Kayla, and Marlena do a final once-over of their plans to ensure Stefano's capture at the masquerade ball

It's pins and needles for Rafe, Steve, Kayla, Paul, Sonny, and Marlena as the ball gets underway, and they wonder if Stefano is one of the masked partygoers

As the Salemites in Prague scan the crowd, Marlena becomes focused on a masked man she believes is Stefano

Marlena is ready to unmask the stranger, but the ball plunges into darkness, and a scream is heard in the night

Rafe, Steve, Kayla, Paul, and Sonny fear for Marlena's safety as she's gone missing in the chaos, which leads them to believe Stefano has recaptured his "Queen of the Night"

The Salemites in Prague race to save Marlena and eventually meet face to face with a very alive and well Stefano

To everyone's delight, Stefano is apprehended and sent to a Prague prison to hold him while they arrange for his return to Salem

Those in Prague attempt to reach Salem to spread the word that Stefano is alive in order to save Hope from Detective Raines's armed manhunt

While overjoyed with the news that Stefano's most recent resurrection will free Hope, it might be too late for her as Detective Raines fires shots

As he always does, a sneaky Stefano has one more trick up his sleeve for the Salemites in Prague, and he disappears once again

Despite the danger in Prague, Sonny shocks Paul by showing up to lend his support, and the two share some sweet moments together

Steve and his Sweetness, Kayla, offer Austin and Carrie an invite for their upcoming wedding on Valentine's Day

Deimos once again questions Brady and Nicole's connection and is convinced Brady is sweet on Nicole

While Deimos is determined to save his relationship with Nicole at all costs, Brady warns Nicole that Chloe is pulling out all the stops to retain Holly

In an attempt to stop Deimos and secure the safe return of Chad and Gabi, Andre brokers a ceasefire with Eduardo, who hesitantly accepts

As Andre and Eduardo's ceasefire has a short shelf life, Kate works with them to help save Chad and Gabi

An extremely anxious Abigail speaks with Dario about Chad and Gabi, which prompts him to become determined to find his sister and Chad at all costs

Abigail becomes concerned when a recovering Dario wants to leave the hospital in order to find their missing loved ones

Locked up by a demented Deimos, Gabi is full of concern as Chad is injured and she fears for his life

Chad's injuries cause it to be clear to Gabi just how much in love with Chad she is, which she confesses as she nurses his wounds
