Stephanie and Jada met for dinner at the Pub, and Stephanie admitted that she slept with Alex. "The more we try to stay just friends, the more we can't keep our hands off each other," Stephanie revealed.

Stephanie admitted that when she woke up in his bed that morning, she "got the hell out of there" as quickly as she could. Stephanie was confused that Alex wanted to be friends only, yet slept with her again. Jada said the physical stuff came easy with exes when the attraction and feelings still existed.

Stephanie confided that she had considered getting back together with Alex, but it went horribly wrong the last time. They had been getting along so well, and she didn't want that to change. Jada wondered if Stephanie had asked Alex how he felt.

Stephanie thought that Alex seemed fine just being friends. As for sleeping together, Stephanie said it felt reckless and unfulfilling if there wasn't more to the relationship. "As far as I'm concerned, Alex and I are strictly friends from now on." Stephanie decided. "If you say so," Jada scoffed.

Justin came over to Alex's with a pumpkin to carve and some beer. They recapped how Xander walked in on his wife as she had tried to push Fiona down the stairs. Alex thought Xander's drama made what they did on Body & Soul seem tame in comparison. "Life is often crazier than fiction because fiction has to seem believable, and life doesn't," Justin mused.

Justin noted that Bonnie loved working on the show and with Alex. Alex said it gave her an outlet to give him the motherly advice she wanted to give him in real life. Alex noted that he did have a situation with another coworker, and it was "kinda sorta" messy. Justin asked if Alex and Stephanie were getting back together, but Alex didn't think they were meant to be.

Alex said Stephanie got him through some dark times, but he couldn't stop thinking about what it was like when they were together and how badly he had hurt her. He told Justin that they slept together but that she'd run out of the apartment in the morning like it was on fire after calling the hookup a mistake. Alex thought Stephanie wasn't interested in him.

Bonnie was practicing her script when Nancy knocked on the door. They caught up on her work on Body & Soul, and Nancy thought she was a great actress. Nancy wondered if they were hiring any new actresses for the show.

Nancy explained that it wasn't for her or Chloe, but she hoped that Bonnie could put in a good word for her other daughter, Joy. Nancy described Joy as a stubborn drama queen and thought she could get a part on Body & Soul, she might find her true calling. Bonnie told Nancy that it would be a pleasure to put in a good word for Joy. "This diva is going to throw her weight around and make sure your daughter gets an audition," Bonnie added.

Chanel called Johnny to ask if he wanted to meet up for dinner. Johnny lied and said he was still at the studio and planned to work late but was drinking at Small Bar. Chanel said she understood that's how it was in the life of a director. Johnny mentioned that he had come by the bakery, but she wasn't there. He recalled overhearing her and Alex talk about how clueless Johnny was and to keep it that way.

Chanel told Johnny she had left to go to the pharmacy to get something for her back pain and must have missed him. When Johnny hung up, he muttered, "Pharmacy, no way." A young woman appeared and asked if the seat beside him was taken. She had no sooner sat down than she started complaining she needed a drink after a day of traveling with her mother.

The woman continued rambling and realized Johnny wasn't paying attention. "Are you even listening to me?" she asked. Johnny said he wasn't and noted other people have their own problems. The woman said that she had heard Midwesterners were friendly and sarcastically apologized for trying to have a conversation.

Johnny apologized, and they introduced themselves as Johnny and Joy. Johnny admitted he was in a bad mood because his wife was cheating on him. Joy asked if he had jumped to conclusions, but Johnny said he had caught them together.

Johnny told Joy that he didn't confront Alex and Chancel because he was numb with shock. "When I saw her later, I thought she'd confess and tell me it was a mistake," Johnny said. He thought they might have been able to work past it, but instead of being honest, Chanel lied to his face like nothing had happened.

Johnny added that Chanel snuck out again the next day, and he heard them talking about how clueless he was. Joy thought Chanel sounded like a "stone-cold woman" Johnny said if you asked him a month ago if he thought Chanel was capable of something like that, he would have said, "No way in hell," but he doesn't know who she is anymore.

Johnny admitted the real reason he hadn't confronted his wife. "If I actually say it and put it out there, then it's real, and I'd still give anything for it not to be," he explained. Joy told him he couldn't hole up the bar forever. Johnny agreed that he needed to confront his wife but said he wouldn't that night. Johnny and Joy smiled at one another.

Chanel met her mom for dinner and said that Johnny was working late and wouldn't join them. Paulina asked if things were better between Johnny and Chanel since the "squabble" she had to referee. Chanel said they would improve soon as she had a surprise party planned with Alex for Johnny.

Paulina said she had talked to Johnny, and he told her it was harder for him than he expected to see Chanel and Alex working together. Chanel thought it would be behind them and easier for everyone once they got the bedroom scene done. Paulina was surprised and concerned that they hadn't shot "the love scene" yet.

Chanel said the goal was to get through the scene with Johnny directing and her and Alex acting and then have the party. Chanel thought that by then, Johnny would view Alex differently, and they could all be friends. Paulina told her to be more realistic, but Chanel hoped everything would get "a million percent better."
