Kids grow up so fast -- even faster if they're on a soap. Days of our Lives is reintroducing two not-so-young-anymore youngsters next month.
Summer might have ended, but that doesn't mean that Days of our Lives has given up on telling teen stories. The Peacock soap is bringing back two of its younger legacy characters starting next month.
Jamie Martin Mann has been cast as Tate Black, son of Brady Black and Theresa Donovan. The character made his first on-screen appearance as "Christopher" -- following a controversial embryo transplant storyline -- on April 14, 2015. Tate was last seen July 19, 2018, though the youngster was mentioned as recently as recently as last week when he ran into problems at boarding school.
Tate's return does make sense now that it's been confirmed that Theresa Donovan will be sticking around -- although, as Soap Central previously reported, Jen Lilley will not.

Mann was a series regular on Country Comfort, the music-themed Netflix show with Katharine McPhee and Eddie Cibrian. The actor also appeared on Broadway as Billy Elliot in Billy Elliot the Musical.
Ashley Puzemis, meanwhile, has been cast as Holly Jonas, daughter of Nicole Walker and the late Daniel Jonas. Holly was mentioned as recently as earlier this month, but the character hasn't been seen on-screen in nearly a year.
Puzemis has acted in multiple films, commercials, and music videos. Her most notable project is the Nickelodeon show Danger Force. She also gained recognition from starring in Public the Band's music video called "Make You Mine," which has received over 150 million views.
If math isn't your thing, fear not -- Soap Central has done the hard work for you. Tate would be almost nine years old, while Holly would be about eight. But thanks to SORAS, or soap opera rapid aging syndrome, none of that matters.
According to Soap Opera Digest, both Mann and Puzemis will make their debuts during the week of October 9.
What do you think of DAYS' decision to bring back these two characters? Are you okay that they've both been aged? We want to hear from you -- so drop your comments in the Comments section below, tweet about it on Twitter, share it on Facebook, or chat about it on our Message Boards.
