Rhonda Stubbins White, who played DAYS' Lady Vi, has died

Actress Rhonda Stubbins White (ex-Lady Vi, Days of our Lives) passed away early last week at the age of 60.

Veteran actress Rhonda Stubbins White, who played the recurring role of Lady Vi on Days of our Lives, died last Monday. Her TV manager confirmed the sad news, revealing that the 60-year-old passed away following a battle with ovarian cancer.

Hailing from Brooklyn, White studied acting at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. She made her TV debut in 1992 in the NBC show Here and Now and then went on to appear in series like ER, The West Wing, Southland, Touched by an Angel, NYPD Blue, Chicago Hope, and Charmed.

White was best known, however, for her recurring role as DAYS' Lady Vi, who appeared on the NBC soap opera in 2000.

Some of White's other credits include HBO's Laurel Avenue, the made-for-TV movie Out of Darkness, and the Showtime series Shameless. Her most recent credit was playing the role of Agnes in Tyler Perry's current BET drama, Ruthless.

Todd Baker, a close friend of the actress, was the first to share the news of White's death. He wrote on the actress' Facebook page, "It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my dear friend Rhonda Stubbins White. She was an amazingly talented woman, full of positivity and energy, and grounded by her faith. We were all fortunate to have known her and shared her short time on this earth."

"We are deeply saddened to hear of this news," says Sheila Di Marco, White's commercial agent. "She was beautiful inside and out. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family."

White is survived by her siblings Gregory and Annette.
