Days of our Lives' Jen Lilley (ex-Theresa Donovan) describes her new Hallmark Movies & Mysteries film, Angel Falls: A Novel Holiday, as "all the Christmas goodies packed into 90 minutes of charm."
There's nobody quite as adorable as Days of our Lives alum Jen Lilley (ex-Theresa Donovan), who lights up the screen brighter than the Griswold's Christmas lights in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. So as one can imagine, her new Hallmark Movies & Mysteries holiday film will be one for the books. And we do mean that literally, because the film -- titled Angel Falls: A Novel Holiday -- is literary themed!
The holly and jolly film follows Lilley as book editor Hannah, who must work with former rival Ryan (Carlo Marks) to help a potential writer find her way. However, life seems to have other plans for Hannah, as Angel Anthony (Eric Close) reminds her and Ryan about Christmas spirit and the value of community.
Says Lilley of what fans can expect from the film, "It's everything we love about Christmas. It's twinkle lights, it's Christmas trees, snow globes, wreath making competitions, toy drives, caroling -- it's got all the Christmas goodies packed into 90 minutes of charm. There's a lot of witty banter... and we had so much fun on set. [Fans] are going to love the entire 90 minutes. It's just going to bring you all of the Christmas joy."

Angel Falls: A Novel Holiday is set to premiere on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries on December 15 at 9PM/8C.
Jen Lilley joined Days of our Lives as troublemaking Theresa Donovan in 2013 and announced in 2016 that she was leaving the soap to pursue other projects. She later revealed to Forbes that the main driving factor that led to her to transition from soap operas to acting projects like Hallmark movies was becoming a foster parent.
"I think that if you want to take care of children in a really dedicated manner, especially children who are in foster care who really need a lot of love and attention, and they need a lot of consistency, then I would not have been able to successfully do the show at the same time," she says. "Something had to give. It was either I was going to do a good job on the soap and maybe not give these children the love that they deserve or I was going to be a fantastic foster mom, and just flounder in my acting."
Since leaving DAYS, Lilley has become a Hallmark Channel staple with starring roles in films like Mingle All the Way, Winter Love Story, and Love Unleashed, to name a few.
