DAYS' Christopher Sean joins Star Wars family in Star Wars Resistance

Days of our Lives' Christopher Sean (Paul Narita) is headed to a galaxy far, far away in his new Star Wars Resistance role.

One of the greatest reveals in cinema history was when Darth Vader uttered the shocking phrase, "Luke, I am your father." And one of the greatest reveals in Days of our Lives star Christopher Sean's (Paul Narita) history is that he's now part of the Star Wars family.

After teasing quite some time ago that he had a pretty big reveal on the horizon, Sean finally broke the exciting news: he has been cast in the upcoming Disney series Star Wars Resistance.

"The huge news, the big announcement that you've all been waiting for, is finally here," he says in a video posted to Instagram. "I'm a part of the Star Wars family! That's huge right? I mean, there's nothing bigger than that."

Created by Lucasfilm Animation veteran Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels), Star Wars Resistance is a new animated series revolving around Kazuda Xiono, a young pilot recruited by the Resistance whose mission is to spy on the growing threat of the First Order.

"The idea for Star Wars Resistance came out of my interest in World War II aircraft and fighter pilots," Filoni said. "My grandfather was a pilot and my uncle flew and restored planes, so that's been a big influence on me. There's a long history of high-speed racing in Star Wars, and I think we've captured that sense of excitement in an anime-inspired style, which is something the entire team has been wanting to do for a long time."

The voice cast for Star Wars Resistance features Sean alongside Suzie McGrath (East Enders), Scott Lawrence, Myrna Velasco, Josh Brener, Donald Faison, Bobby Moynihan, Jim Rash, and Rachel Butera.

The series is rumored to start in the fall, though a set premiere date has yet to be announced. At this time, it's unclear if Sean's voice role in the kids' show will affect his job at DAYS. May the force be with daytime fans and not take the popular actor out of Salem!
