Congratulations are in order for Days of our Lives, which managed to tie in the number one position in the coveted women 18-49 ratings category -- a feat it hasn't accomplished since 2006.
When the going gets tough, the tough get going. And when that happens, magic unfolds. Take Days of our Lives, for example. After years of struggling in the ratings game, the NBC soap opera is taking great strides in viewership totals.
Hot on the heels of the news that the series gained more viewers than any other daytime drama for the week of February 5 comes word that the soap managed a wow-worthy feat for the week of February 12 as well: DAYS tied in the women 18-49 ratings category for the first time since 2006.

The ratings picture as a whole, however, isn't as rosy. In fact, outside of DAYS and General Hospital tying in the coveted category, the ratings news is quite dismal. Not only were all four soap operas down in ratings this period compared to last period, but both The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful hit new lows in the women 18-49 viewers category.
It should be noted that there were preemptions on Wednesday, February 14 due to the Parkland school shooting.
