A radio appearance by Sally Kirkland (ex-Tracey Simpson, Days of our Lives) ended on a sour note when the Oscar-nominated actress took a tumble and was rushed to the hospital.
The seventy-six-year-old was recording on John Fugelsang's SiriusXM show on Wednesday when she fell and hit her knee and face, reports TMZ. She suffered multiple lacerations (including some on her face) that were so bad, she had to have surgery rather than stitches.

Though the injuries were serious, TMZ reports she's expected to make a full recovery.
Kirkland has appeared in over 200 films throughout her career. Though best known for her 1987 Best Actress-nominated role in Anna, she found her way into soap opera fans' hearts with her short 1999 stint as DAYS' Tracey. The actress, who also appeared on television shows like Three's Company and Murder, She Wrote, currently hosts a weekly program on the syndicated HealthyLife Radio Network.
