DAYS' Alison Sweeney releases third novel

Former Days of our Lives actress Alison Sweeney (ex-Sami Brady) has penned a novel about a tyrannical boss, and the juicy book -- called Opportunity Knocks -- is out today.

Called Opportunity Knocks, the work of fiction is the actress' third novel to date, and it follows the story of Alex Cleary, who manages to snag a dream job doing makeup for Hillary P., a culinary diva with a million-dollar lifestyle empire and reputation for being -- well, a bit like Sami!

The job provides a once-in-a-lifetime chance for Alex and provides a steady paycheck, but when the newbie inadvertently violates the confidentiality clause of her contract, her dream opportunity turns to dust: she's on the hook for a million bucks -- unless she can eliminate the problem in 72 hours. With help from a Hollywood hottie, Alex plans an elaborate scheme that just might get her off the hook. But everything will have to run precisely to plan, and the clock is already ticking...

Sweeney's previous novels include The Star Attraction, released in May of 2013, and Scared Scriptless: A Novel, released in June of 2014. Like the previous two, Opportunity Knocks, for sale at bookstores across the nation today, gives fans a behind-the-scenes look into Hollywood life.
