DAYS alum lands role in Fifty Shades of Grey sequel

Some naughty but nice news concerning Days of our Lives' Brant Daugherty (ex-Brian): The former soap star has been cast in Fifty Shades Freed.

Ready for a little BDSM, daytime fans? Looks like you'll be able to get it in Fifty Shades Freed, because Days of our Lives' Brant Daugherty (ex-Brian) has been cast in the anticipated Fifty Shades of Grey sequel.

The former Salemite, who also starred in Pretty Little Liars, Army Wives, and Dancing With the Stars, will be playing Luke Sawyer, a bodyguard Christian (Jamie Dornan) assigns to Anastasia (Dakota Johnson) in the third film of the popular book series turned film series.

Watch for Daugherty -- along with previously announced cast members Kim Basinger, Eric Johnson, Arielle Kebbel, Luke Grimes, and Rita Ora -- to hit the screen in February of 2018, when Fifty Shades Freed is scheduled for release in theaters nationwide.

As for Daugherty's time on DAYS, fans may recall he played a character who briefly dated Freddie Smith's Sonny -- who just happened to be in love with Will (then played by Chandler Massey).
