Lauren Bolton was introduced as the daughter of Reece Bolton, who became a member of his far-right extremist gang. Her father initially influenced her, and she was found in potentially dangerous situations on the soap.

Her storyline took an ugly turn when Lauren vanished without a trace. Her unexpected disappearance sparked a massive investigation. What particularly raised the alarm was the traces of blood in her apartment.

After loads of drama around "Who did it?" Roy Cropper was taken into custody after blood was discovered on his hands. He became a prime suspect in this presumed murder.
